Grameenphone celebrated ‘Fan Day” today for the fanatic supporters of Bangladesh to cheer for the nation. In partnership with Prothom Alo, the event took place in all 64 Districts of Bangladesh in Seven Divisions. The finale of the campaign was held in Dhaka at the Indoor Stadium, Mirpur.
Under the ‘Cholo Bangladesh’ campaign Grameenphone celebrated the Fan Day where prominent former cricketers and former captains of Bangladesh Cricket team Habibur Bashar Shumon, Faruq Ahmed, Khaled Masud Pilot, MD. Ashraful and Gazi Ashraf Lipu were present along with other sports figure in the Dhaka event. Parents of current national cricket team players were also present in this occasion to cheer for their boys and Grameenphone & Prothom Alo acknowledged them at the program. Former cricketers were acknowledged for their achievement in the game of cricket and contribution for Bangladesh. The Fans of Bangladesh Cricket were present to cheer for the National team.
Prominent singers like Ayub Bachchu, Patha Barua, Abida Sultana and Abdul Hadi and bands like Shunno and Nemesis performed at the show. ‘Cholo Bangladesh’ wants to bring all the Bangladeshi cricket fans together under the same umbrella as a proud united nation to cheer for the national team.
